Seeking to defend their conference title, Morehead State rifle is excited to host the Ohio Valley Conference Championships this weekend at Button Range.
The Smallbore competition is Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. ET, while Air Rifle will take place on Sunday. Team champions will be crowned on both guns, and the overall campion will be awarded Sunday as well at the all-conference teams. No spectators are allowed in the Button building at any time this weekend due to COVID-19 protocols.
Along with the Eagles, Murray State, UT Martin and Jacksonville State will compete. MSU has competed head to head against all three this season already.
Morehead State's Smallbore lineup includes senior Ryan Hinson, juniors Katie Frye and Erin Diehl and sophomores Bryce Ward and Grace Weber. The Air Rifle squadding is Diehl, Frye and Weber along with freshman Andrew Morris and junior Amber Schifano.
NCAA rifle scoring consists of five in the lineup with the top four scores counting for the final team tally.
