Morehead State University continues to make progress toward its vision of a revitalized campus that better meets the needs of current and future students. MSU recently marked a significant milestone by holding a signing ceremony for the final beam for the new 120,000-square-foot Multidisciplinary Academic Building.
Before the final structural beam was installed this afternoon, members of the MSU community, including students, faculty and staff, signed the beam as a lasting symbol of their connection to the project and the future of the University.
"Today marks another exciting step in the transformation of our campus. The Multidisciplinary Academic Building will provide modern, state-of-the-art spaces for student learning and success while reflecting our continued investment in students and the future of Morehead State University," said MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan.
Located along University Boulevard, the new building will extend toward Main Street. This facility will replace the Bert T. Combs Building and Baird Music Hall.
The project is funded by a $90 million capital investment approved by the Kentucky General Assembly in the 2022–24 biennial budget.
