MSU Athletics

As the spring portion of the team's 2019-20 schedule approaches, Morehead State women's golf welcomes another member of its 2020-21 signing class, announcing the signing of Hannah Curreri.

"We are thrilled Hannah has decided to join our team. She is a strong, local talent who excels in the classroom and is well-liked in the community," said head coach Stephanie Barker. "As a long hitter, Hannah will have every opportunity to contribute at the college level. I'm excited for Hannah and her family."

The Winchester, Ky. native joins the Eagle program following a standout seven-year stint as a member of the George Rogers Clark High School golf program. Competing for head coaches Anne Baldwin, Roger Ritchie, and Scott Franklin, Curreri helped take the Cardinal program to new heights, leading the program to back-to-back Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Golf Championship appearances, including GRCHS' first appearance since 1997.

In addition to leading GRCHS to back-to-back KHSAA State Tournament appearances, Curreri's prep career saw her become a four-time qualifier for the KHSAA State Golf Championships, becoming one of two GRCHS golfers since 1996 to qualify in four-straight seasons. During her run of four-consecutive KHSAA State Golf Championship qualifications, Curreri recorded four top-five individual Region Championship finishes while also helping GRCHS to a pair of KHSAA Region 8 Runner-Up finishes.

For her efforts on the course, Curreri garnered Kentucky Golf Coaches Association Second Team All-State and KHSAA Region 9 All-Region honors as a senior while earning KHSAA Region 8 All-Region honors as a junior.

Competing on the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour, Curreri has collected eight tournament victories since joining the tour in 2015, including a string of four straight victories during the summer of 2018. Overall, she has accrued 38 top-10 finishes during her five seasons competing on the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour.

Off the course, Curreri is a four-time KHSAA Academic All-State honoree, having maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA during her high school career.
