Moakler Takes Top Honors in Louisville

Morehead State track & field redshirt senior Justin Moakler was the class of the field, taking home first place in the men's 1500-meter at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational Saturday afternoon at Cardinal Park.

Moakler, a native of Brampton, Ontario, Canada crossed the finish line with a final time of 3:49.06.

Also of note in the same event was senior Jordan Carrington, who placed fourth in the men's 1500-meter. The Somerset sprinter tabbed a final time of 3:51.09.

The Eagles now head into their final week of regular season competition before heading to the Ohio Valley Conference Championships in two weeks.

Morehead State men's and women's track & field will first travel to Lynchburg, Va., to compete in the Liberty Twilight at Liberty University on Wednesday. From there, MSU will head to Bloomington, Ind., for the Billy Hayes Invitational at the University of Indiana on Friday.
