Morehead State slot receiver Brandon Bornhauser, defensive back Michael Jackson and running back Rees Macshara have been named to the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame All-Commonwealth Team.

The team, sponsored by Community Trust Bank, is comprised of student-athletes from Divisions I, II, III and NAIA institutions in the state.

Bornhauser, a native of Cincinnati who was a redshirt junior in 2013, averaged a team-best 26.7 yards per kickoff return with a long burst of 64 yards against Dayton. He also caught 16 passes for 138 yards and hauled in touchdown tosses at Valparaiso and Campbell. Bornhauser was utilized in goal-line offensive situations and produced a team-best five rushing touchdowns.

Also from Cincinnati and a junior in 2013, Jackson ranked third on the team with 72 total tackles. He paced the defenders with three interceptions, including a pair of pickoffs at Jacksonville. Jackson also recorded 10 pass break-ups, recovered a fumble, forced a fumble and blocked a kick.

Macshara, a native of Danville, Ky., who was a redshirt junior in 2013, led the offense with 534 rushing yards while finding the end zone four times. He also collected 270 receiving yards on 47 passes with one score.

Morehead State opens its 2014 season on Aug. 30 at Colonial Athletic Association member Richmond.
