KY 1013 closure July 24-Aug. 4 in Fleming County

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports an embankment repair project will require the Kentucky Department of Highways to temporarily close KY 1013 in Fleming County for two weeks this month.

Beginning Monday, July 24, crews will close KY 1013 at the 13.1 milepoint – a half mile north of Rush Run Road – to excavate the roadway and repair a roadside slip. The road will remain closed, day and night, until about Aug. 4 or until work is complete.

Barricades will be installed at Rush Run Road and KY 559, with local traffic only permitted past those points. Traffic may detour around the project by using KY 559, KY 11X, and KY 32.

Once the embankment repair is complete and the road reopens, motorists should watch for continued work in the same area as crews make other pavement repairs. Watch for flaggers and temporary traffic signals.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
