Morehead State was well represented at the 2024 Junior Olympics Rifle competition as five current or incoming athletes took part in the event from April 2-10 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

A familiar face has earned his opportunity to lead the Morehead State Men's Basketball program. Jonathan Mattox, who spent nine seasons on the MSU bench and helped guide the Eagles to an OVC championship and 154 wins during that time frame, has been named head coach.

Feltner, the Eagles' mainstay at first base for the past three seasons, was the 235th overall pick in the draft. Feltner is the 35th player in program history to be drafted, with the first coming in 1965. He is the third-ever Eagle to be selected by the Diamondbacks, joining Tyler Keele (2016) and Brad Allison (1996).

A two-time Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year who has her jersey retired in Johnson Arena, Chynna Bozeman has returned to the Morehead State campus and has joined the women's basketball staff as assistant coach.

Sarah Martin, who has been involved with Morehead State volleyball since 2017, has been promoted to head coach of the beach volleyball program. Martin has been on the beach staff since 2018.

Morehead State University and President Jay Morgan are pleased to announce that Kelly Wells, a 19-year veteran of collegiate sports and 1995 graduate of MSU, has been selected to serve as director of athletics.

For the 10th time in program history, a member of the Morehead State baseball team has been named Player of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference. Junior center fielder Ryley Preece became the first Eagle since Niko Hulsizer (2017) to take home the honor on Tuesday night at the OVC awards banquet.

The Morehead State baseball team captured its first outright OVC Regular Season Championship since 1979 on Friday night behind six home runs -- including two from Ryley Preece, who became the first player in program history to hit 20 home runs and steal 20 bases in the same season.
