Rifle Athletes Perform Admirably at Junior Olympics

Sophomore Hayden Bell had the most standout performance as he advanced to the men's Air Rifle final round (top eight in the preliminaries advanced). Bell shot a 1237.1 initially and then took the silver medal with a 248.7 in the finale.

2024-25 signee Trey Myers just missed out on the finals as he finished with a ninth place showing and a 1235.7 score. Current freshman Cooper Gray was 34th out of 152 shooters and a score of 1214.0.

The women were represented by two incoming athletes for the 2024-25 roster. Haven Eastman totaled a 1229.4 in Air Rifle for 58th out of 178 competitors. She also shot in the Smallbore 50-meter event, finishing 41st out of 89 with a 1140-38 center shots total.

Chloe Shannon took part in Air Rifle and garnered a 79th place showing out of 178 with a score of 1222.7.
