Women's Basketball Falls to Georgetown (Ky.) in Exhibition

Women's basketball fell to Georgetown College in their exhibition game Thursday, 72-63.

The Eagles were led by sophomore Alana Denson, who finished the game with 17 points and five rebounds. Denson was aided by graduate student Terri Smith, who chipped in 10 points and fellow graduate student Tyler Moore, who finished with 11 points. Freshman Morgan Browning rounded out the Eagles in double figures, adding 11 points.

Morehead State as a team shot 6-16 from three point range, good for a 37.5% clip, including a trio of long range shots in the 3rd quarter to leap out to an 11 point lead.

The Eagles kick off their 2021-22 campaign on Tuesday at 6:00 pm ET when they travel to East Lansing, Mich., to take on Michigan State.
