Morehead State guard Ta'lon Cooper didn't miss a shot and he contributed to points on six other occasions, leading him to earn his first-ever OVC Freshman of the Week accolade.

Cooper, a 6-4 guard from Spartanburg, S.C., was 7-for-7 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the free throw line in scoring a career-best 20 points against ALC. He also dished off a team-high six assists as the Eagles trounced their foe 102-46.

Cooper, who hit both his long-distance tries Saturday, has been a sharpshooter from distance. he has canned a team-high 52 percent from outside the arc, which would lead the league if he had enough attempts to qualify for league stat lists.

Cooper won consecutive state titles at Dorman (S.C.) High School before enrolling at MSU.

The Eagles open OVC action Thursday at home against Jacksonville State. The game, airing live on ESPNU, starts at 9 p.m. ET.
