Flory Garners Another OVC Award

MSU Athletics

For the second consecutive time, Morehead State senior soccer forward Jade Flory has been named Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

This marks the sixth time Flory has been named Offensive Player of the Week in her two-year career at MSU.

Flory, a transfer from Youngstown State, helped MSU soar past Louisville 2-0 last Friday with the match-winning goal 5:15 into the contest. The Chambersburg, Pa., native converted a penalty kick to help the Eagles claim a 2-1 victory versus Wyoming Sunday. She now has 21 career scores in 30 matches at MSU and is tied for fourth on the school's career chart.

Flory recorded a .600 shot-on-goal percentage over the weekend and now has seven goals and two assists in 2014.

Morehead State has scored 16 goals in its first eight matches, doubling the total it had after eight contests in 2013.

MSU is on the road this weekend, facing Xavier Friday (Sept. 19) at 7 p.m. and Wright State Sunday (Sept. 21) at 1 p.m.
