The 2014 Ohio Valley Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Championship fields are set. Morehead State's women earned the third seed, while the men are seeded fifth in the six-team tournament. The three-day event will begin Thursday and takes place at the Heflin Tennis Center in Paducah, Ky.
The MSU women (11-10/8-2 OVC) open on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET against sixth-seeded Eastern Illinois. The Eagles defeated EIU 4-3 on March 15. The Panthers were ranked 74th in the nation at the time of the match. The men (9-9/4-5 OVC) will face fourth seed SIU Edwardsville at 11 a.m. Thursday. SIUE edged MSU 4-3 on March 16.
The JSU men earned the No. 1 seed while Belmont will be the No. 2 seed. On the women's side, Murray State is the No. 1 seed while Eastern Kentucky is the No. 2 seed. If the MSU women defeat EIU, they'll face EKU on Friday at 3 p.m. in the semifinals. Should the men advance, they are set to face off against JSU Friday at 11 a.m. in the semifinals.
