Men's Basketball To Face Volunteers On ESPNU

The Morehead State men's basketball game at Tennessee on December 23, 2013 will be televised live by ESPNU.  Tip-off from Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville is set for 7:00PM. The contest is one of thirty-one games on Morehead State's regular season schedule.  The date against the U-T Volunteers from the Southeastern Conference is also one of ten against post-season teams from a year ago.

"We're excited about this opportunity on ESPNU...national television appearances are great exposure for our program, athletic department and university." – Sean Woods, MSU Men’s Basketball Coach

Once again in 2013-14, the Ohio Valley Conference will have a series of games on the ESPN Family of Networks.  Those national telecasts are expected to be announced at some point in September.

Morehead State's last national TV appearance was an ESPNU contest at Tennessee State on February 28, 2013. The Eagles shot 62 percent that night en route to a thrilling 101-100 Ohio Valley Conference league victory.

"Millions of people will have the chance to watch two quality college basketball programs on December 23rd. It should be a great night for our families, friends, recruits, alumni and fans." –Sean Woods

Launched in 2005, ESPNU is a 24 hour college sports television network.  It airs more than 650 live events each year and is available nationwide in approximately 73 million households.

Morehead State opens exhibition play at Johnson Arena on November 2 against St. Catharine (KY).  The Eagles then begin regular season at home on November 9 hosting Mid-Continent (KY). Additional information is available online at: www.msueagles.com
