KY 32 Public Meeting Planned

Kentucky Department of Transportation

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet engineers and consultants will share plans to improve two miles of KY 32 (Flemingsburg Road) in northwest Rowan County at a public information meeting next week at Morehead.

The meeting, scheduled for 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 15, at Rowan County Middle School, will feature maps that outline proposed changes to KY 32 between Viking Drive and Park Hills Drive, such as widening, reducing hills and curves, and other improvements.

Residents and roadway users will be able to view plans and talk to transportation engineers throughout the open-house-style meeting, and a general overview of the project will be given at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. A handout and comment forms will be available.

The Transportation Cabinet encourages all those affected by or interested in the project to attend, ask questions and express their views. Information gathered at the meeting, and for 15 days after the meeting, will be used to make future project decisions.

For more information, or to make comments, write to Department of Highways District 9, P.O. Box 347, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041, or call toll-free (800) 817-2551.
