Alan Alda is an Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor, writer, director, and science communication advocate. He's best known for his role as Captain Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce in the CBS sitcom M*A*S*H*, and has also appeared in The Aviator and The West Wing. Alda has won six Emmys and Golden Globes, and been nominated for three Tony Awards.
