RCPL to host mental health documentary film on May 28

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

On Tuesday, May 28th NAMI Morehead (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will present a documentary film titled "God Knows Where I Am," from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Rowan County Library Conference Room in Morehead.

The film explores the experience of a woman with schizophrenia who finds and lives in an abandoned house when she is released from a mental hospital. The film is based on the journals she wrote there in the months before her death.

The program is free and everyone is welcome to attend. There will be a discussion afterward.

Paul Hitchcock earned his Masters in Communications from Morehead State University and Bachelors in Radio-TV/Psychology from Georgetown College. A veteran broadcaster for more than 40 years and an avid fan of blues, jazz and American roots music. Hitchcock has been with WMKY since 1986 and was named General Manager in 2003. He also serves as producer for "A Time For Tales" and "The Reader's Notebook."
