Morehead State volleyball alum M.E. Hargan has signed a contract to play professionally with Denizli Buyuksehir Belediyespor in Denizli, Turkey.
"I'm very excited to continue my volleyball career with Denizli," said Hargan. "I'm also super stoked to just experience the city, the people, the culture, the team and the community as a whole."
Denizli competes in Turkey's Kadinlar 1 Ligi (Women's First League), which is the second-highest level of Turkish women's volleyball, just below the elite Sultanlar Ligi. Denizli has qualified for the league's promotion playoff during the 2025-26 season.
"We are incredibly proud of M.E. and excited to see her continue her volleyball journey professionally in Turkey," said Morehead State head coach Kyrsten Becker-McBride. "She is an exceptionally talented and determined person whose love for the game has been evident throughout her four years in our program.
"Playing professionally has been a goal of hers and she has worked incredibly hard to create this opportunity for herself", added Becker-McBride. "She's joining a competitive club and embracing a new challenge, and we can't wait to watch her represent both herself and her Eagle volleyball family on the international stage."
Hargan capped an outstanding career at Morehead State last fall being named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year and a spot on the All-OVC First Team for the third consecutive season. She was also an Honorable Mention AVCA All-Region selection. She slugged 493 kills in the 2025 campaign, which ranks third-most in the modern, 25-point rally scoring era (2008-present).
Her 1,488 career kills tally is 10th all-time in Morehead State volleyball. She ranks fourth in the rally-scoring era (2001-present) and third in the modern era. Her 4,282 total attacks are eighth-most in program history across all eras and second-most in the modern era.
"It has been a waiting game to find a team and Denizli game me what I was looking for while making me feel super comfortable and welcomed already," added Hargan. "I can't wait to go!"
