A new mural is being installed this week on Main Street in Morehead.
As part of an ongoing public art movement, a mural is being installed on the front of the Pasquale’s building on Main Street by Often Seen Rarely Spoken, a company out of Louisville.
Melissa Yungbluth is the Director of the Golding-Yang Arts Gallery at Morehead State University and has been working with community leaders on the project. She says a similar program she worked with in Florida led to a big changes in the community.
The mural is scheduled to be complete by Wednesday evening. Organizers are inviting residents to spend time watching the installation on the new seating at Batson Oats Drive and support downtown businesses.
