
Katelyn Campbell
Katelyn Campbell is a ninth generation West Virginian and rising senior at Wellesley College. She is an American Studies major with a concentration in the history of the American South.
While growing up outside of Charleston, Katelyn became interested in identifying and studying the roots of Appalachian poverty. This interest has grown into a lifelong passion for lifting previously unheard voices. Her work in community organizing in Southern West Virginia earned her the 2016 Truman Scholarship for the state of West Virginia.
