Softball Head Coach Megan Griffith Announces Resignation

Macy McMeekin

Morehead State softball head coach Megan Griffith has announced she will resign from her position, effective June 10.

Morehead State will begin a nationwide search for the next head coach to lead the softball program.

"We thank Megan for her service to our student-athletes for the past four seasons and wish her nothing but success in the future," said Director of Athletics Kelly Wells.

The Eagles recently concluded the 2026 season with a 7-38 record and a 6-21 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Eagles tallied their second-highest batting average in 11 years and most home runs in the past nine years.

Griffith came to Morehead State prior to the 2023 season after serving as head coach at Savannah State in 2022. She also had assistant coaching roles at George Mason and UC San Diego.
