For the second time in his decorated collegiate career, Joe Muschong has been named OVC Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Muschong is coming off a stellar performance that saw the Lexington senior finish tied for second at The Joust among 87 golfers in a competitive field. The efforts from Muschong helped vault the Eagles to an overall second place team finish.
His consistent play throughout the two-day tournament was the key to Muschong's second consecutive second place finish, dating back to October 2021. Muschong finished the tournament with 32 pars and 10 birdies, and had particular success on par 3s, where he finished in the top-10 for scoring average.
Muschong and the Eagles return to the course next week as they participate in the Sea Palms Invitational. The two-day tournament tees off Mar. 4-5 from St. Simons Island, Ga.
