Women's Hoops Draws Matchup at Radford for WNIT First Round

Morehead State women's basketball will play at Radford in the WNIT first round. The game will take place inside Radford's Dedmon Center on Friday (March 20) at 7 p.m. ET and be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Eagle Sports Radio Network.

The winner moves into the second round to travel to Arkansas State. Purdue Fort Wayne, Alcorn State and South Alabama are also potential later round opponents should the Eagles advance into the Super 16.

Under first year head coach Ashton Feldhaus, Morehead State is making its third all-time WNIT appearance. The Eagles last played in 2018-19 when they defeated Ohio State in the first round.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to keep competing," said Feldhaus. "Making the WNIT is another testament to the work this team has put in all season long. We are proud to represent Morehead State and excited for another chance to play together!"

MSU enters the postseason 18-14 overall. The team features All-OVC First-Teamer Kate Dike, OVC co-Defensive Player of rhe Year Laura Toffali and All-OVC second-teamer Marie Sepp.

Radford, under 13th year head coach Mike McGuire, enters the WNIT 22-12. The Highlanders were the Big South Tournament runners-up and feature Big South Freshman of the Year Georgia Simonsen.

MSU owns a 6-5 all-time series lead over Radford, including the latest MSU win - 79-72 on Dec. 15, 2018.
