Morehead State makes changes to classes, campus

Morehead State University

Morehead State University is closing its campus to the general public, and moving instruction online for the remainder of the semester.

In a release from the President’s office Tuesday night, officials outlined a plan to keep the campus community informed and protected.

From Monday, March 23 through the remainder of the spring semester, all course instruction will remain in online or distance format.

The offices on campus will remain open with limited staffing to serve students from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The campus will be closed to any non-employee after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18th.

Resident halls will be closed to students after Friday, March 27th with some limited exceptions.

The MSU Health Clinic will remain open from 9 am to 3 p.m. for the time being to address student concerns or consultations via phone.

President Dr. Jay Morgan said in the release that the University is committed to being as student-friendly as possible in the coming weeks.

“We are a resilient University that will rise to the occasion. Many thanks for your cooperation and for helping us meet these challenges,” Morgan said.  “We are going to continue to provide as great an education to our students as we possibly can.”
