The Doan Dynasty reigns. Morehead State Cheerleading earned a trifecta of national championships at the Universal Cheerleading Association College Nationals in Orlando, Fla., this weekend.
The Large Co-ed program won its 29th all-time title, while All-Girl won its 13th championship and first since 2018. A new squad for MSU, Small Co-ed, also won its first title in its first-ever chance.
Started by the late Myron Doan in 1988 and now led by head coach Mark Coleman, the competitive cheer program at Morehead State has now earned 52 all-time UCA titles (and 1 from NCA) for 53 all-time cheer titles. Other coaches who have led the Eagles to national titles include Tony Nash and Bill Mayo.
