A quintet of Morehead State baseball student-athletes have earned All-Ohio Valley Conference awards. Jackson Feltner and Nick Gooden are first-team honorees, while John Bakke, Alex Jacobs and Roman Kuntz were tabbed to the second-team.

Feltner, a Louisa, Ky., native and first baseman, is the only man on the first team this year to repeat as a first-team selection. Heading into the OVC Tournament, he has a .390 batting average to rank third in the league. Feltner also leads the team in home runs (16), doubles (17) and RBI (51), all of which rank in the top 10 in the OVC. he also owns a .710 slugging percentage and team-high .476 on-base percentage. He leads the conference with 27 multi-hit games and has 10 multi-RBI efforts.

After only seeing limited time last season, Gooden is one of the most improved players in the OVC. The Berlin, Pa., infielder is batting .341 with 12 doubles, four homers and 33 RBI. He also has a .416 on-base percentage. Gooden has 14 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI performances.

A utility pitcher if there ever was one, Bakke earns a spot as a starter but has been equally as impressive as a closer. The Huntsville, Ala., native finished the regular season with starts in three of the final four series and was 2-0 in that role and 4-3 overall. He ranks third in the OVC with a 3.63 ERA and has 67 strikeouts in just 57 innings. That's 10.58 Ks per 9 innings, which ranks second in the league. Bakke also has eight saves, which ranks third in single-season program history. His 15 career saves also ranks third in program history.

Jacobs, a left-fielder from Huntsvile, Ohio, recently set the MSU record for consecutive games reaching base safely at 51. A steady threat, Jacobs ranks second on the team with a .364 batting average. He is also the lone man on the team to draw more walks (30) than times striking out (27). Jacobs has 13 doubles, five home runs and 38 RBI and also leads the team with 12 stolen bases. In the field, he owns a .990 percentage with three assists.

Kuntz missed some significant time due to an injury but still posted a .348 batting average with nine homers and eight doubles in 39 games. The New Carlisle, Ind., product also possessed a .574 slugging percentage. Kuntz was even more solid in games versus OVC foes where he led the team with a .405 batting average and slugged six home runs.
