Eagle QB Mark Pappas Set to Begin Pro Career in Sweden

Morehead State quarterback Mark Pappas, who just finished his career as the fourth leading passer in program history, has signed a deal to become the quarterback for the Stockholm Mean Machines American Football Club in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Mean Machines will be playing in the Swedish Superserien as well as in the new Scandinavian Cup tournament which kicks off April 30.

An Avon Lake, Ohio, native, Pappas was named First-Team All-Pioneer League for the second consecutive season, leading the Eagles to a 7-4 record and a 6-2 PFL mark in 2021. He set the program single-game record with 481 yards against Dayton and finished with 3,446 yards this season, which was the second highest single-season total in MSU history. He also tossed 28 touchdown, also ranked No. 2 in program history for a solo season.

Pappas ended up with 7,346 career passing yards, fourth best at MSU, and 61 career passing TDs, third best in program history.
