Cross Country Competes in Commodore Classic

Morehead State cross-country participated at the Commodore Classic in Nashville, Tenn., Friday morning.

The event was hosted by Vanderbilt University at Percy Warner Park and featured eleven teams. The men competed in an 8000-meter race, while the women ran a 5k.

Sophomore Kyle Embry, who posted a time of 26:33.9, as well as sophomore Michael Dunagan who finished in 27:09.4, led the men's team.

Freshman Laikin Tarlton was the fastest for the Morehead State women, finishing her race in 19:04.1. Fellow freshman Isabella Copher was close behind her with a 19:31.1 finish.

The Eagles return to action on Oct. 2 at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
