Greg Todd Resigns to Accept Head Coaching Position at Eastern Kentucky

MSU Athletics

Morehead State head women's basketball coach Greg Todd has resigned his position to accept the head coaching position at his alma mater, Eastern Kentucky.

"Morehead State has been a tremendous opportunity for me and my family, and my experience has been extremely positive," said Todd. "Having success is part of it but also the relationships I have built I will miss. This community and the support they show for Morehead State have been awesome. I am grateful for the opportunity I was afforded seven seasons ago and look forward to maintaining some of those professional relationships as I move to Eastern Kentucky University."

Todd led the Eagle women's basketball program for seven seasons, compiling a 105-106 record. The Eagles finished 17-36 in the last two seasons, but prior to that Todd led MSU to three consecutive 20-win seasons. He is the first head coach to lead the women's program to three straight 20-win results.

"We are extremely grateful for the way Coach Todd led the women's basketball program for the past seven years," said Director of Athletics Jaime Gordon. "We wish him good luck in his new endeavor. We will begin a national search immediately to find our next women's basketball head coach."

Todd's entire coaching career has been centered around Kentucky. He also had stints as head coach at Berea High School, Lexington Catholic High School and Transylvania University.
