Morehead State basketball junior forward Shay Steele has been named to the Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference basketball team for the 2015-16 season.
MSU has been picked to finish seventh by OVC Head Coaches and Sports Information Directors.
Steele finished last season averaging 14 points and six rebounds per game, while shooting 40 percent from floor. She recorded 20 points in seven games, and accumulated two double-doubles, both coming in conference play during her sophomore campaign.
Last year MSU finished with a 12-18 record, including an 8-8 OVC record under first-year head coach Greg Todd. The Eagles won seven of 10 contests in the middle of the conference season.
MSU will start its season with an exhibition against Division III Transylvania (Ky.) on Thur., Nov 5. The regular season will tipoff Fri Nov., 13 at Johnson Arena in the "Mickey Wells Classic" against Marshall, with start time at 5:30 p.m. ET.
