Morehead, Ky.-- Morehead State volleyball alum Sarah Heath has signed a contract to play professionally in Germany.
Heath will compete for Turnverin Dingolfing e.V., based in Dingolfing, Germany in southern Bavaria. Dingolfing competes in the 2nd Bundesliga South, Germany's third tier of women's professional volleyball.
"I'm beyond excited for this opportunity," said Heath. "I wish I could see little me's face and tell her that all those big dreams have actually gone somewhere. Thank you to Morehead for always having my back and giving me the confidence to take these steps. And thank you to Coach Urmann and the Dingos for bringing me on and being so welcoming, I can't wait to see what this season brings!"
Last season, Heath started all 32 of Morehead State's matches, primarily as a right side. She tallied 244 kills, ranking third on the club, averaging 2.28 total blocks. She also turned back 60 total blocks in the 2025 campaign.
"We are proud of Sarah for taking a big step in her athletic career and playing professionally," said Morehead State head coach Kyrsten Becker-McBride. "Watching her play, it's clear that she has a love for the game. The ability to take the next step and play professionally is something that she talked about during her time here, and I'm so happy she found the right fit. She is the second Eagle in her class to sign a professional contract, and she will represent us well in Germany!"
Prior to her two seasons at Morehead State, Heath starred at Richard Bland College (Va.). In 2023, she led the NJCAA Division II with 638 kills, averaging 4.6 kills per set. She added 87 aces on the season and was named a First Team JUCO All-American.
In her freshman season in 2022, Heath helped lead Richard Bland to the NJCAA Division II national championship and a 34-3 record. She tallied 341 kills and 41 service aces and was named a NJCAA Division II Second Team selection.
Heath and her Dingolfing club open the season September 19 against VC Wiesbaden II.
