The Morehead State rifle team used a season best score in air rifle Saturday (November 2) to pick up a victory over Virginia Military Institute at Kilbourne Hall.
MSU defeated the Keydets 4,542-4,455 using a 2246 in smallbore and a 2296 in air rifle, while VMI posted scores of 2197 in smallbore and 2258 in air rifle. It marked the third victory in five competitions for the Eagles.
Junior Ethan Cole led MSU with a 577 in both guns. Junior Mary Saenger finished with a 567 mark in smallbore and a 575 in air rifle. Junior Jumell Wilson finished with a season best 575 in air rifle.
The Eagles return to the range Saturday, Nov. 16 for a competition with Columbus State to be held at Button Range. MSU defeated Columbus State 4572-4553 on Oct. 20.
