MSU's Flory Awarded Weekly Soccer Honors

MSU Athletics

Junior forward Jade Flory claimed a pair of weekly honors following her performances in a 3-2 come-from-behind victory at Austin Peay and a 1-0 decision over Murray State last weekend.

For her efforts, Flory was named adidas OVC Offensive Player of the Week and College Sports Madness OVC Player of the Week.

Flory scored three goals for MSU last week, including two that proved to be game-winners. She tied the match with the Lady Govs in the 58th minute, while the winner came with just 17 seconds remaining. The victory over the Lady Govs marked only the second time this season that APSU has allowed more than one goal.

Her 57th minute goal versus Murray State was her 10th of the season, which is tied for fourth in MSU single season history. The Chambersburg, Pa., native leads the league in game-winning goals (four), is tied for the league lead with five assists and ranks second in the OVC in goals scored.

This marks the third time this season that Flory has been named OVC Offensive Player of the Week, and the first time that she has been named College Sports Madness OVC Player of the Week.
