Star Theater announces January shows

Morehead State University’s Star Theater will feature several favorites and its most popular live program for the month of January.

The programs will start Friday, Jan. 30, with the “Dawn of the Space Age” at 6 p.m., followed by “Lazer Pop” at 7 p.m. and “Electro laze” at 8 p.m.

Programs will continue on Saturday, Jan. 31, with “Earth, Moon and Sun,” at 1 p.m., “Night Sky over Morehead” at 2:15 p.m., and “Dawn of the Space Age” at 3:30 p.m.

Programs continue on Saturday evening with laser shows “Laser Pop” at 6 p.m. and “Electro laze” at 7 p.m.

Selected laser music shows can contain unedited language.

General Public ticket prices are:

Planetarium programs

• $2 – Adults

• $1 – Students & Senior Citizens (60+)

• Free – 4 and under

Laser programs

• $5 – Adults

• $4 – Students & Senior Citizens (60+)

• Free – 4 and under

Seating is limited to 90 per program and tickets (cash only) for all shows are available at the door. No advance tickets or reservations are available.

Greg Jenkins has been the Operations Director at MSPR since 1999. Greg is a 1996 graduate of Morehead State University with a BME in Music Education and received a Masters of Science in Industrial Technology in 2008. Greg oversees training, scheduling, and evaluation of the student board operator staff, preparation of the daily traffic logs and serves as weekday classical music host. He is also the webmaster of the MSPR website and maintains MSPR's webstreaming and podcasting.
