‘Chris Henry: A Story of Hope’ slated for Friday (10/24)

Morehead State University and the Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA)will present “Chris Henry: A Story of Hope” Friday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Laughlin Health Building.

The presentation is free and open to all students, faculty and staff.

The featured presenter is Henry’s mother, Carolyn Henry Glaspy. Henry died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in December 2009. Glaspy made the decision to donate her son’s organs and has been an advocate for organ donation with speaking engagements throughout the country.

Glaspy also will be attending the Eagle football game versus Valparaiso Saturday and will be recognized alongside local organ donors and recipients.

KODA will have an information table set up at Saturday’s game. MSU’s coaches and staff will be wearing organ donation bracelets, which also will be available for fans.

KODA is dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation. The organization was formed in 1987 to establish a statewide educational and procurement network. The organization serves 114 counties in Kentucky, four in southern Indiana and two in western West Virginia.
