Six people were arrested during two drug busts over the weekend in Fleming County.
Sheriff Gary Kinder said the first bust occurred on Friday evening at a house on Mount Tabor Road in the Ewing area.
"We had received tips on this house in the past," Kinder said. "I, personally, watched the people come out and go until we had enough evidence to secure a search warrant."
Kinder said during surveillance, an individual was seen leaving from the premises in a vehicle. That person was stopped and allegedly found to have 10 oxycodone pills hidden in his boot.
"He told us he had purchased them from the house we had been watching," Kinder said.
A search was completed on the home, during which time officers said they found 216 pills, which were a mixture of oxycodone and methadone, $6,912 and two firearms.
During the search, officers also arrested the home owner, 35-year-old Andrew Everman of Ewing, along with with 49-year-old Carl Hendricks of Germantown, 35-year-old Greg Morris, and 30-year-old Crystal Clontz, both of Carlisle.
All four individuals were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and lodged in the Mason County Detention Center, where they remain.
More arrests are pending, Kinder said.
The Fleming County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Nicholas County Sheriff Jeff Sidles, FCSO Deputy Kevin Brady and Kentucky State Police.
On Sunday, the FCSO arrested two more individuals after another house in Ewing was searched.
Kinder said around 3 p.m., Sunday, a traffic stop was conducted when an individual was found to have a cylinder with 10-12 pills inside.
"There was a mixture of pills in the cylinder," Kinder said. "We believe some of them may have been bath salts."
Kinder said the individual told the officers where he had purchased the pills and a search was conducted on the house after consent was given.
Officers found three empty pill bottles that had recently been filled, drug paraphernalia and firearms, Kinder said.
Officers arrested 53-year-old Luke Jones and 50-year-old Mark Jones. Both men were charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were lodged in the Mason County Detention Center, where they remain.
More arrests are pending.
The FCSO was assisted at the scene on Sunday by KSP.
