2022 Annual Short's Goldenrod Festival returns to Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park!

The Short's Goldenrod is the rarest plant in Kentucky and one of the rarest in the world! Mid October has been set aside as a time to celebrate this plant species and also to educate the public about the unique biodiversity of the region.

Some of the many activities include:

Bird Walk with Joyce Bender - Former Nature Preserve Manager on Friday October 14th.

Saturday, October 15th:
The Kentucky Native Plant Society annual conference at 10 AM in the Worthington Lodge which is on Saturday October 15th. This conference is open to both society members and the general public. Various guided hikes on Saturday afternoon with plant conservation experts will also take place.

On Sunday, October 16th the Kentucky Reptile Zoo and other recreational programs will take place.
