The Morehead Tourism Commission voted 4-0 Tuesday to earmark $25,000 for the Kentucky Folk Art Center for a one-year period.
According to The Morehead News, the Commission voted against the support at its June 28 meeting. The three members who voted no said they wanted a plan in place of how the money would be used and how the KFAC would be sustained for the long term. Those three members were absent from Monday’s meeting.
The city, county and MSU had already voted to appropriate $25,000 each for a joint funding plan put forth by the university.
