Fall and Winter Campgrounds Open at Kentucky State Parks

genuinekentucky.com

Kentucky State Parks will keep several campgrounds open during the fall and winter months.

Seven park campgrounds will remain open through winter months. The open campgrounds include: Carter Caves, Columbus-Belmont, Fort Boonesborough, General Butler, Lake Cumberland, Paintsville Lake and Levi Jackson. Some campgrounds may turn off water lines during winter months. Online reservations can be made for these seven campgrounds at www.parks.ky.gov

Due to mild temperatures in November, several other park campgrounds remain open. They include: Blue Licks Battlefield, Carr Creek, Grayson Lake, Green River, Greenbo Lake, Kenlake, My Old Kentucky Home, Taylorsville Lake and Yatesville Lake. These parks accept walk-in customers in the winter.

Guests should call the park directly to ensure that campgrounds have availability.
