MSU Football Set For Exciting 2022 Schedule, Including Week 0 Game

After a 7-4 season with a second-place finish in the PFL, the Morehead State Eagle football team is slated for a full 11-game schedule, including five home games, for the upcoming season in the fall of 2022.

The schedule features one non-conference home game and four home Pioneer League games. Kick-off times, ticket information and promotions will be finalized later and available on MSUEagles.com.

Morehead State will kick off the season in Macon, Ga., versus Mercer in a Week 0 contest on August 27. The Bears finished with a 7-3 record last season in the Southern Conference.

After a bye week, Morehead State will travel to face FCS powerhouse Montana State on September 10. Residing in Bozeman, the Bobcats were runners-up in FCS football last season, finishing with a 12-3 record after losing to North Dakota State in the National Championship by a score of 38-10.

The Eagles' home opener versus in-state foe Kentucky Christian comes on September 17. The Knights from Grayson, Ky., are members of the NAIA's Mid-South Conference and finished last season 3-7.

The PFL slate includes home games with Presbyterian (Oct. 1), Valparaiso for Homecoming (Oct. 22), Marist (Nov. 5) and San Diego to wrap up the season (Nov. 19).

Road conference battles will take place at Stetson (Sept. 24), Davidson (Oct. 15), Butler (Oct. 29) and Dayton (Nov. 12).
