Last week, a history professor at Morehead State University provided a historian’s perspective on the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Dr. Adrian Mandzy is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and is a preeminent expert in Ukrainian history. He spoke Friday about the nation’s history and the tensions that brought about the current conflict.
Mandzy says Putin is using military force to attempt to remove Ukraine from the pages of history.
Mandzy says it’s unclear how many casualties have resulted from the ongoing fighting.
