Ten people have been named to the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame, including WVPB News Director Beth Vorhees.
The 2015 class of inductees includes Vorhees, MetroNews broadcaster Hoppy Kercheval, retired West Virginia Public Broadcasting executive director Dennis Adkins and ESPN regional sportscaster Frank Giardina.
"Beth Vorhees is a legend among West Virginia media," said Scott Finn, executive director of West Virginia Public Broadcasting.
"Beth has trained dozens of reporters, including me, to do their jobs," Finn said.
"She also has helped de-mystify the legislative process as host of 'The Legislature Today,' and thousands depend on her authoritative reporting and hosting every day during 'West Virginia Morning,'" Finn said.
Other inductees are Mike Kirtner, Sandra Cole, Mike Buxser, Gary McNair, Gary "Music" Miller, and Don Staats.
The hall of fame announced the inductees on Monday. An induction ceremony will be held Oct. 31 at the Museum of Radio and Technology in Huntington.
