A second public meeting for a KY 7 improvement project in Elliott and Morgan counties that was scheduled for this week has been postponed due to weather concerns. The meeting is being rescheduled, and will be announced at a later date.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet project will reconstruct 10 miles of KY 7 from the southern city limits of Sandy Hook to the KY 711 intersection at Wrigley in Morgan County.
The first public meeting for the project, which is currently in the design phase, was held in August last year. At that meeting, the public talked with state highway engineers and consultants about what changes would make KY 7 a better and safer roadway and made comments on the project.
The next public meeting will feature alternative design proposals and other information, and the public will once again be able to ask questions and make comments.
