Morehead State University has changed its on-campus Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) sessions to an online format to make experiencing MSU easy for incoming students. There is still time to register for upcoming SOAR sessions.
“MSU will continue to be flexible and work to accommodate student needs during these unusual times,” said Russ Mast, vice president for student affairs. “We look forward to having our new students join the Eagle family in the fall.”
The SOAR online experience includes:
- Pre-recorded videos to watch the week of the scheduled online SOAR session
- A virtual campus tour
- Live Q & A on Facebook Live
- A brief quiz on content from the videos
- Fall class schedules will be released for participants on Friday of the scheduled online SOAR week
Future online SOAR sessions will take place during the following weeks:
June 1-5, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. June 4 or 5
June 22-26, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. June 23
Wednesday, July 8, MSU at Mt. Sterling students only (more details to follow)
July 13-17, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. July 13 or 14
Admitted students for Fall 2020 will need to sign up at http://www.moreheadstate.edu/soar for the week of their preferred SOAR session. Once registration is complete, they will be emailed additional details.
