Officials in Morehead say the city’s new splash pad is finally open.
The facility was completed last October, but a broken water tank and electrical issues delayed this year’s opening. A water inspection completed Friday morning allowed the facility to finally open.
Parks and recreation director Matt Hamilton says trying to open the facility this summer has been frustrating.
Sheltowee(shell-tow-ee) Falls Splash Pad will be open from 10 am to 8 p.m., 7 days a week. Party rentals will also be available from 8 to 10 p.m.
