An executive order was signed by Rowan County’s Judge Executive on Friday limiting the number of people allowed in essential businesses.
Beginning Saturday, only one person per household was allowed to enter in grocery and hardware stores.
Judge Executive Harry Clark says he had been observing stores each day, and seeing many people ignoring social distancing.
Clark says Walmart has already started limiting the number of people allowed into the store at one time, but he hopes proper social distancing will keep other stores in Rowan County from being forced to do the same.
