A Morehead State University Student was found deceased on campus Monday morning.
Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt said the 19-year-old female was found by her roommate in a campus dorm.
In an email, University officials confirmed that local authorities are continuing to work through the details.
“Our thoughts are with the student, their family and loved ones as well as friends across campus at this time,” said Vice President of University Advancement, Rick Hesterburg. “We extend our deepest condolences to them and to everyone impacted by this tragedy.”
The University is providing counselors to meet with students and staff who have been impacted.
Coroner Northcutt says no foul play is suspected.
