Cornett, Henry chosen as Math Teacher Leaders

Rowan County teachers Niki Cornett and Bethanie Henry have been selected by the Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) as a Kentucky Math Teacher Leader (KyMTL)! The group of passionate teachers were selected for the program after completing a rigorous application and interview process.

These select mathematics leaders were brought together by the KCM to collaborate with like-minded educators from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky to hone and expand their skills in leadership, mathematics content and pedagogy.

Bethanie Henry

Bethanie Henry is beginning her 14th year as a fourth grade teacher at Rodburn Elementary in Morehead, Kentucky. She obtained her bachelor’s in Elementary Education, master’s in School Administration, and Rank I/Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership through Morehead State University. In my free time, Bethanie loves to kayak and enjoy the outdoors with her husband, Jonathan, and two dogs-Murphy and Gracie. She is thrilled to be part of a program that helps teachers continue to be lifelong learners and can’t wait to see the positive impact it will have on her students!
