Pathways in Morehead is hosting a National Overdose Awareness Day event today for friends and families who have lost loved ones to drug overdose.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths in the community.
Amanda Fry is the Director of Nursing and Medical Services for Pathways. She says the organization wants to provide support and education for those affected by drug overdose.
The event is set to take place today from 11:00am-4:00pm at 321 East Main Street in Morehead. Information on drug overdoses will be available, as well as free Narcan nasal spray, and ribbons and baloons to honor those who have passed away from an overdose.
