Coming up on its two-anniversary of being a proud community business, Giovanni's of Morehead has certainly been an active participant serving the city and region, and in particular with Morehead State Athletics.
Recently, athletics and Giovanni's continued their successful symbiotic relationship with the naming of Giovanni's Breadstick Beach, the home to the Eagle Beach Volleyball program.
Owners of Giovanni's of Morehead and Olive Hill, Skip and Rhonda Holley and Duane and Judi James joined the Beach Volleyball team for this year's OVC weekend hosted in Morehead. As part of this unique partnership, fans enjoy complimentary Giovanni's breadsticks at all Eagle home duals.
The Giovanni's family and Morehead State Athletics work together year-round to support the mission of ensuring student athletes' success on and off their field of play. Morehead State is thankful for the continued commitment that Giovanni's provides to Eagle athletics.
Since Breadstick Beach opened in 2018, the Eagles hosted the state of Kentucky's first-ever NCAA beach volleyball duals that season and have since hosted a variety of events including the 2022 OVC Beach Volleyball Championship.
