Andrew Foster a Semifinalist for the FCS Punter of the Year

MSU Athletics

Morehead State Football now has the distinction of being the only FCS program with a 2021 candidate for the offensive, defensive and punter of the year for the subdivision.

Grad student punter Andrew Foster is one of the 10 semifinalists for the FCS Punter of the Year. He was also on the watch list and a semifinalist during the spring 2021 season.

On 39 punts during the Fall 2021 season, Foster set the Morehead State and Pioneer Football League records for punting average at 45.7. The Knoxville, Tenn., native also became the only Eagle punter in program history to average 40+ for four consecutive seasons, just barely missing the PFL career record for average.

In 2021, he blasted 12 kicks more than 50 yards, boomed four more than 60 yards, and had 15 downed inside the opponent 20-yard line.

Foster wrapped up his career with 196 punts for a 42.0-yard average and 36 or better than 50 yards.
